Help Scout Setup & OAuth

The Help Scout dialog exposes a broader credential model than the other CRM integrations. It stores application credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, mailbox IDs, and a configurable API base URL.

Main fields in the settings tab
  • App ID and App Secret
  • Mailbox ID
  • Access Token and Refresh Token
  • Token Type and Scope
  • Token Expires At
  • Base API URL
Supported setup flows
  • Connect with OAuth from the dialog
  • Refresh the token from the dialog
  • Save fields manually if you already manage credentials outside Helpwave
Practical setup order
  1. Enter App ID and App Secret.
  2. Run OAuth or store a valid token pair.
  3. Refresh mailboxes and select the mailbox IDs you want to use.
  4. Save the final configuration before moving to user mapping.
