Help Scout Setup & OAuth
The Help Scout dialog exposes a broader credential model than the other CRM integrations. It stores application credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, mailbox IDs, and a configurable API base URL.
Main fields in the settings tab
- App ID and App Secret
- Mailbox ID
- Access Token and Refresh Token
- Token Type and Scope
- Token Expires At
- Base API URL
Supported setup flows
- Connect with OAuth from the dialog
- Refresh the token from the dialog
- Save fields manually if you already manage credentials outside Helpwave
Practical setup order
- Enter App ID and App Secret.
- Run OAuth or store a valid token pair.
- Refresh mailboxes and select the mailbox IDs you want to use.
- Save the final configuration before moving to user mapping.
